Map out your daily diet and then stick to it! It will help tremendously if you decide what your diet will be for the day. Think of your activities for that day and then make a decision as to what your food will consist of.

For instance, if you know you will be eating out make sure your order is pre-determined. Instead of choosing from the menu, think about how you can tailor your order to fit your diet.

When I go out for breakfast I special order...


a poached egg, a lean meat, & one piece of toast. For a beverage I will have caffeine free herbal tea & a teaspoon of honey. You can apply this technique to any meal and before you leave the house you will know your fat, calories, & cholesterol.

There are many shortcuts you can take if you plan out the days meals. The trick is to stick to your daily plan making sure that you have your meals and proper snacks in place. When beginning your lifestyle changes it is good to make gradual exchanges in your diet and exercise. Instead of coffee with cream, have herbal tea with a touch of honey. Instead of TV, have the radio on.
